Government of Canada and Government of Ontario Make Infrastructure Investments in Carleton-Mississippi Mills
February 13, 2009
Residents of Almonte, ON will benefit from joint federal, provincial and municipal funding to build a mechanical sewage treatment plant and upgrade the town’s pump station, announced today Carleton-Mississippi Mills MP Gordon O’Connor and Mississippi Mills Mayor Al Lunney. This project is just one example of all levels of government committed to stimulating the Ontario economy by reducing red tape, creating jobs for Ontarians, and getting shovels in the ground sooner. "With local investments in infrastructure such as the one we are providing here today, our Provincial Government is working everyday to keep Ontario moving forward and growing in strength. Families, jobs and local economies are the backbone of our Province and in making those areas stronger we are continuing to support our communities." said the Honourable Jim Watson, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing for the Government of Ontario.
